75 Chestnut  Wins Distinguished Restaurants of North America Award and Joins Ranks of Most Celebrated Restaurants in United States, Canada and Mexico. There are only 768 resaurants in the world that hold a Distinguished  Restaurant of North America (DiRNA)  Award - one of the most prestigious awards for fine dining - and 75  Chestnut has just been added to the roster. The Award will be officially  presented at a gala ceremony on September 18th in Seattle, Washington. “The 58 restaurants to win the DiRNA Award 2002/2003 represent the best in fine dining,” said Kurt Knowles, DiRNA chairman and owner of The Manor Restaurant in West Orange, NJ. “For the first time in the history of the organization,  DiRNA now has members in all 50 states of the US. As we gather in Seattle  to induct the Class of 2003, we will have much to celebrate.”

Based  in Washington, DC, DiRNA was established in 1990 to promote the fine dining industry and offers  the only fine dining guarantee in all of North America. The DiRNA Award is bestowed upon only the most distinguished restauranteurs.  To become eligible for the Award, restaurants must first be in operation, under the same owner, for a minimum of three years. An anonymous,  independent 75-point inspection of the property is conducted to review the quality of food and wine, service, and physical property and décor.

The  DiRNA Award is the only program of its kind, scrutinizing every aspect of  the dining experience from the making of the reservations to the presentation  of the check. “At 75 Chestnut we continually strive to provide our guests with the ultimate dining experience each and every day,” said Thomas Kershaw, owner. “it certainly is an honor to be given the DiRNA Award and considered among the best restaurants in North America.”
